Opposition uproar over Neet protest police action leads to Lok Sabha adjournment

The Lok Sabha was adjourned until 12:00 noon on Monday due to uproar from Opposition members over various issues, particularly alleged police action during student protests related to the NEET examination.

When the House met at 11:00 a.m., Presiding Officer N K Premachandran tried to start the Question Hour, but Opposition members insisted on a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the police actions.

The protests are part of a larger controversy over alleged NEET examination irregularities, prompting a call for accountability. Despite the disruptions, the government stated it is ready for discussions on exam-related issues. Premachandran then adjourned the session amid continued disruptions.
