Non Convertiable Debentures

Debentures are long-term financial instruments issued by a company for specified tenure and come with a fixed rate of interest to the investor. Debentures are convertible and non-convertible. Non-convertible debentures (NCD) are instruments that cannot be converted into shares or equity. Non-convertible debentures (NCD) are fixed-income instruments, issued by reputed companies, rated above AA and in the form of a public issue for capital-raising. NCDs offer relatively higher interest rates compared to convertible debentures.
