ICICI Prudential Life appoints Sidharatha Mishra as Managing Director and CEO

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has appointed Sidharatha Mishra as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 14, 2026.

As the insurance company enters its next phase of growth, Mishra will spearhead the company's operations and business strategies in his new role.

As MD and CEO, Mishra will be responsible for leading the insurance company's business operations, growth strategy, and customer-centric initiatives.

His appointment comes at a time when India's life insurance sector is witnessing continuous growth, driven by digital adoption, evolving customer expectations, and a heightened focus on accessible financial protection.

Mishra brings over 26 years of experience at ICICI Bank across areas such as branch banking, regional operations, digital channels, partnerships, and customer service. His extensive experience in retail banking and customer-centric financial services is expected to be an asset in his new role at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.

He joined ICICI Bank as a management trainee in 1998 and subsequently held various leadership positions across the organization. His career encompasses responsibilities such as branch management, regional and zonal business leadership, digital banking services, strategic partnerships, and customer service.

Throughout his career, Mishra has gained experience in both traditional banking operations and emerging digital financial services. As he assumes his role at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, his expertise in customer-centric businesses and digital services further strengthens his leadership profile.

Mishra’s transition from a long-standing leadership role at ICICI Bank to a senior management position at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance aligns his experience in banking, digital services, and customer service with the insurance company's focus on expanding its life insurance business.
