Quick Wrap: Nifty Consumer Durables Index records a surge of 0.95%

Nifty Consumer Durables index ended up 0.95% at 38278.6 today. The index has lost 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Whirlpool of India Ltd jumped 7.67%, Blue Star Ltd rose 2.62% and LG Electronics India Ltd added 1.63%. The Nifty Consumer Durables index has decreased 0.00% over last one year compared to the 7.03% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index increased 0.92% and Nifty Auto index increased 0.89% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.34% to close at 23140.5 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.43% to close at 73895.74 today.
