Muthoot Finance Ltd consolidated sales down 6.64% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit declined by 16.85%

Muthoot Finance Ltd share price inched up 0.15% to Rs 2894.2. The Company's net profit contracted by 16.85% to Rs 2824.84 crore, while revenue from operations eased by 6.64% to Rs 8671.6 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 16.9 lakh crore, rising 7.10%. It has slipped by 0.09% over last one week and jumped by 16.35% in last one month while the market capitalization of Muthoot Finance Ltd has softened by 0.20% and 11.56% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Muthoot Finance Ltd stood at Rs 3797.13 crore in Q2 FY26, rallying 43.07% year-on-year, and tanking 17.17% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 3782 crore, surging by 42.31% YoY and tumbling by 17.84% sequentially. Total expenses saw a slight increase of 4.05% to Rs 4897.69 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, employee benefits expense was at Rs 738.34 crore, jumping 26.69% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations witnessed a strong growth of 54.39% to Rs 31209.23 crore, while net profit saw a strong growth of 98.17% to Rs 10606.87 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA surged by 730048% to Rs 14333.8 crore, and PBT soared 96.87% to Rs 14304.84 crore compared to previous TTM. Muthoot Finance Ltd gained 4.53% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has slipped by 4.97% during the same period.
