I G Petrochemicals Ltd consolidated sales up 17.84% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit surged by 136.69%

I G Petrochemicals Ltd share price gained 1.25% to Rs 502.95 after the company's net profit soared by 136.69% to Rs 66.44 crore, while revenue from operations edged up 17.84% to Rs 617.8 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Commodity Chemicals industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 1.7 lakh crore, rising by 11.12%. It has softened by 0.11% over last one week and softened by 2.07% in last one month while the market capitalization of I G Petrochemicals Ltd has improved by 8.86% and 9.11% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of I G Petrochemicals Ltd stood at Rs 90.39 crore in Q2 FY26, plunging by 679.79% year-on-year, and surging by 123.90% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 106 crore, crashing by 1085.71% YoY and jumping 71.13% sequentially. Total expenses posted a minor rise of 9.46% to Rs 523.28 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 482.73 crore, soaring by 31.65% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 30.36 crore, witnessing a strong rise of 20.38% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations declined by 12.75% to Rs 1924.98 crore, while net profit tumbled by 97.96% to Rs 2.22 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA witnessed a strong improvement of 19620% to Rs 68.76 crore, and PBT tanked by 92.58% to Rs 10.43 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 102.2 crore in FY26, as against Rs 260.98 crore in FY25. I G Petrochemicals Ltd climbed 5.70% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has softened by 3.20% during the same period.
