Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions fall to two and half year low

Precious metals speculators decreased their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 22214 contracts in the data reported through June 9, 2026. This was a weekly drop of 1712 net contracts and pulled net longs near two and half year low.
