MCX Zinc up 0.63%, Copper stays under pressure

MCX Copper futures are are in negative territory, lower by 0.69% at Rs 1391 per kg right now. The counter was marginally lower by 0.19% in the day session till 6.00 PM. MCX Copper futures touched an intraday low of Rs 1407 per kg today and have witnessed a 1.40% increase in the open interest. US equities are firm with NASDAQ Composite is sharply higher by 1.67% on the day.MCX Copper is slipping for fourth consecutive session.

In other metals, Nickel is up by 1.66% at Rs 1482 per kg, Zinc is up 0.63% at Rs 420 per kg, Lead is trading slightly higher by 0.13% at Rs 195 per kg while Aluminium is modestly lower by 0.09% at Rs 325 per kg.

Copper has edged lower by 1.83% in the last one week followed by MCX Zinc, losing around 1%.
