Gold steady, Silver down 0.54%

MCX Gold futures are trading on a positive note today. The benchmark Dec-26 contract is slightly higher by 0.29% at Rs 149330 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 148150-149621 per 10 grams.The counter has collapsed by 3.88% over last one-week.The open interest in the counter jumped by 4.13% to 15410 lots.

Silver is slightly lower by 0.54% at Rs 226218 per kg. The open interest in the counter soared by 4.44% to 17156 lots. The metal fell sharply by 3.09% in last session.

In global equities, US markets are set for a positive start. DOW futures edged up 0.06%. In Europe, FTSE 100 ticked up 0.26% and DAX Performance Index moved up 0.15%.

MCX Copper futures are marginally lower by 0.24% at Rs 1402 per kg.
