MCX Gold futures are trading in negative territory today. The benchmark Dec-26 contract is down 0.08% at Rs 147801 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 147620-148574 per 10 grams.The counter has fell 2.36% over last one-week.

Silver is marginally lower by 0.11% at Rs 210950 per kg. The open interest in the counter inched up by 0.06% to 20059 lots.

In global equities, US markets are set for a negative start. DOW futures slipped 0.26%. In Europe, DAX Performance Index retreated 0.87% and FTSE 100 declined 1.28%.
