Copper near $4.30 per pound

COMEX Copper futures consolidated around $4.30 per pound today as risk sentiment stayed mostly supported ahead of the US Federal Reserve monetary policy decision. The counter currently trades at $4.29 per pound, up 0.57% on the day. Meanwhile, in Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index added 0.49%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 1.37%. Japan's Nikkei 225 index rose 0.49%. European market eased modestly. The US stock markets closed mixed on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.04% while the S&P 500 rose 0.3%, reversing momentum from earlier in the day, when they were at or near record levels. The Nasdaq Composite, meanwhile, finished higher by 0.2%.
